St Thomas More is a wonderfully friendly, hardworking and

successful school in the beautiful spa town of Buxton.

There are just over 400 pupils on roll in this popular and successful 11 to 16 comprehensive school. Approximately 60% of our pupils are Catholic.  The majority of students come from our partner primary schools of St Anne's Catholic Primary School in Buxton and St Mary's Catholic Primary School in New Mills, but children travel from all over the High Peak and from across the borders in Staffordshire and Cheshire to be part of our school community. Whether of the Christian faith, other faiths or no faith, the children are very proud of their school.

Our GCSE results for 2010 were yet again outstanding and record breaking with every single student achieving 5 or more GCSE passes including English and Maths, 83% of the year 11 cohort gaining 5 or more A* to C grades and 75% including English and Maths.
