The recent production of "Grease" was a resounding success with a packed house every night. After weeks if not months of planning , our production, musical and choreography directors brought it all together - not just once, but for four consecutive nights. Very well done and thanks to all involved !.

John`s Garden Party Charity Event
Over £2300 was raised for John`s charity event, £700 of which was raised through Danies sponsored run. Many thanks to all who made this such a special day.

Katie Wins Buxton Poetry Competition
Many congratulations to Katie Marrow in year nine who has won Buxton Poetry Competition 2014 (Youth category 12-17 years).The theme this year was ‘The Natural World’ and Katie wrote a poem called ‘River’ about Lathkill Dale. Lady Jasmine Cavendish will present Katie and the winners of the other two categories at a special reception held at Buxton Museum on July 8th.

Music Award For Ewan
A prodigiously talented student from St Thomas More Catholic School in Buxton won a main prize in a regional music competition. Ewan Kilpatrick, who is in Year 10, took part in the Bowden Music Festival and won the Young Instrumentalist of the Year award in the Open Youth class. Ewan’s recitals won the award, in a competitive category including performers in the National Youth Orchestra.
2013 Christmas Community Invite
As part of our community work the school Chaplaincy Team organised a "Christmas Community Invite" to residents of Queens Court Day Centre and for local parishioners.

More Sporting Success
A student at St Thomas More Catholic School has been selected for the Derbyshire U15 rugby union team. Angus Doig, who is in Y10 at the school, played in recent matches against Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire and the team won both games.
